The Professional Skills Academy (PSA) is a chance for you to meet in person in a small group with one of our staff members to learn more about the career competencies expected by today's employers, such as communication, leadership, teamwork, etc. There will be four sessions. Each session will start with a presentation from the staff member. The cohort will be put in small groups to do an activity and then present their work to the rest of the group. If you attend all 4 sessions, you will receive a PSA Certificate at the end of the program.The two cohorts with the session times are listed below:In-person Blue Cohort in the Career Development Center Training Room: Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. CDT (February 4, February 11, February 18, February 25)In-Person Orange Cohort in the Career Development Center Training Room: Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30 pm CDT (April 2nd, April 9th, April 16th, April 23rd)Apply today! Do you like Space? Do you like Maps? How about maps of space?! UTA Special Collections is proud to present a new exhibition titled Cosmic Cartography . Featuring maps and charts dating from 1548 to 2024, the exhibit explores humanity's desire to explain our understanding of the universe through maps. In the exhibit, you will see maps that explore the model of the universe - from the ancients who believed in an Earth-centered system to Copernicus who put the Sun at the center, and beyond; maps of our Solar System and planetary bodies; and maps that explore Constellations and the Zodiac.Giveaways will be available while supplies last!The exhibit is located on the sixth floor of Central Library in Special Collections. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
