National Cyber League: How to Get Started We will be hosting an information session on the National Cyber League (NCL), a beginner-friendly Capture the Flag (CTF) competition where college and high school students nationwide can compete in various cybersecurity challenges. This competition takes place every semester and consists of problems relating to real-world cybersecurity scenarios like cryptography, web exploitation, password cracking, and more. In this workshop, we will cover: What the NCL is and how it works The cost of participating ($35 Per Student) & our available sponsorships The benefits of competing in the NCL, including how it helps build valuable cybersecurity skills, improve your resume, and network with like-minded individuals How to get started, regardless of your skill level, as NCL is designed for everyone, from beginners to more advanced players After the informational part of the session, we will dive into the NCL Gymnasium, a practice area where you can hone your skills. We'll work together as a group to solve a variety of fun challenges, making this a hands-on, collaborative learning experience. Whether you're new to cybersecurity or looking to improve your existing skills, this workshop will give you the confidence to compete in NCL and have a great time doing it!
