- Aug 198:00 AMAsk Me DaysAsk Me Days is an annual UTA tradition designed to welcome new and returning students during the first two days of the fall and spring semesters. Hosted by UTA Ambassadors and staff volunteers, the event sets up multiple information stations across campus where students can ask questions about building locations, class schedules, campus services, or general university life. Volunteers offer maps, directions, and helpful advice to ensure students feel confident and supported as they navigate their first days of the semester. It's a welcoming experience that fosters Maverick pride and community from the very start!
- Aug 19–20Trailblazing New Traditions: Selections from the UTA Fine Art CollectionsThis exhibition is presented in support of the Glass Art Society Conference: Trailblazing New Traditions, and includes a wide variety of techniques used to create and design glass artworks. Selections include works from the Maverick Art Collection, featuring Faculty and Student creations, as well as notable works from the UTA Fine Art Collections. This exhibit examines the evolution that glass media has undergone through the decades and how broadly it can be adapted in its aesthetic qualities and appeal. Ranging from the 1980s to the present, many of the international artists included in the collection have pushed past the traditional mindset of glass as a transparent utilitarian object to offer the viewer a colorful exploration of their craft and its incredible adaptability.Please join us in celebrating these works throughout the 2025 Summer semester, Monday, May 12 – Thursday, August 28, 2025.
