Though it helps to have a basic concept of your organization (e.g., name, purpose, mission), you don't need have to have anything else prepared in advance in order to attend one of these sessions.

Curious minds are welcome; you don't need to be teaching with (or collaborating on) a service learning project in order to attend.Sponsored by the Center for Service Learning, this event is open to UTA faculty and staff. Light snacks and lunch will be provided.Workshop one offers a low-intensive service learning overview. Workshop two on February 21st will offer faculty who have attended Part 1 to put their service learning ideas into action by incorporating them into one of their classes, with guidance from service learning faculty.The CSL is in the Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence,RSVP HERE
- Jan 308:30 AMTexas University & College Counseling Center Conference 2025The University of Texas at Arlington Counseling and Psychological Services will be hosting the Texas University & College Counseling Center Conference (TUCCCC) in collaboration with the UTA School of Social Work. The conference will take place in the Bluebonnet Ballroom within the UTA University Center Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31. Breakfast, lunch, and parking are all included in registration fees.The 2025 TUCCCC theme is “Voices of Change,” and organizers are accepting proposals until Monday, December 2 . TUCCCC is excited to have Steffanie Grossman as this year’s keynote speaker. TUCCCC will have other college counseling professionals providing continuing education tailored for college populations. Come network with college counselors, and other college professionals from all over the state of Texas. - Jan 309:00 AMCosmic Cartography ExhibitDo you like Space? Do you like Maps? How about maps of space?! UTA Special Collections is proud to present a new exhibition titled Cosmic Cartography . Featuring maps and charts dating from 1548 to 2024, the exhibit explores humanity's desire to explain our understanding of the universe through maps. In the exhibit, you will see maps that explore the model of the universe - from the ancients who believed in an Earth-centered system to Copernicus who put the Sun at the center, and beyond; maps of our Solar System and planetary bodies; and maps that explore Constellations and the Zodiac.Giveaways will be available while supplies last!The exhibit is located on the sixth floor of Central Library in Special Collections. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
