McMinn and Tritt Both Record Double-Doubles In Mavericks 3-2 Win Over McNeese
LAKE CHARLES, LA --Camryn McMinn and Jalie Tritt each put up double-doubles to help power the UT Arlington volleyball team to a 3-2 victory (25-23, 25-13, 19-25, 20-25, 15-6) against the McNeese Cowboys Friday on the road at Legacy Center.
The out-of-conference win improved UT Arlington's overall record to 5-0 on the season.
The Mavericks were led by the double-doubles from McMinn, who had 14 kills and 11 digs, and Tritt, who had 19 kills and 11 digs. Sophie Ocampo added 15 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Samantha Glenn chipped in for with 21 digs to go with four blocks from Alexis Bull.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Mavericks opened up an early one set to none lead, winning a tight first set 25-23. UT Arlington grabbed the advantage for good at 22-21 in a set that showcased three lead changes before the Mavericks took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 2 | UT Arlington carried momentum from a set-one win by securing a 25-13 victory in set number two. The Mavericks grabbed the set with the help of a strong showing on the attacking end. UT Arlington registered a .414 attack percentage with 14 kills in the set win. The Mavericks ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza. The UT Arlington offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | McNeese stayed alive with a set-three victory to make it a 2-1 match. The Mavericks lost a tough set 25-19. UT Arlington trailed by as many as six points as McNeese grabbed the advantage for good at 17-16 in a set that was tied up nine times before the Cowboys took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 4 | UT Arlington then dropped their second straight set 25-20 to brind the match level at two sets apiece. The Mavericks trailed by as many as eight points as McNeese grabbed the advantage for good at 8-7 and UT Arlington was never able to recover in a set that was tied up five times before the Cowboys took over the lead.
SET 5 | UT Arlington needed five sets to secure victory. After they won the first two sets, McNeese responded to take the third and fourth sets before the Mavericks finished off their victory with a 15-6 fifth-set win. The Mavericks took control of the set-five lead at 3-2 and never looked back. UT Arlington ended strong, opening its biggest lead of the stanza, nine points, to finish off the set, totaling 12 kills without registering an attack error in the process.
