Women's Golf Adds Pair of Transfers to Roster
ARLINGTON – UT Arlington women's golf and head coach Catherine Matranga have announced the additions of transfers Carmen Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe and Salome Arango Marin who are set to join the roster this fall.
Carmen Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe | 5-5 | McLennan CC | Barendrecht, Netherlands
Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe spent two seasons at McLennan Community College where she earned Academic All-District in 2025.
While with the Highlanders, the incoming junior finished 3rd at the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Southwest District Championship and received an at-large bid to the NJCAA Division I National Championship. There, McLennan finished 4th where Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe was a NJCAA Academic Team of the Year Honorable Mention selection.
The Netherlands native competed in all 10 events for the Highlanders, claiming four top 10 finishes.
"I can't wait to have Carmen on campus in the fall," said Matranga. "She is a very competitive player and has a strong work ethic and I'm excited to see what she will accomplish while at UTA."
Salome Arango Marin | 5-5 | Texas Wesleyan | Manizales, Colombia
Arango Marin is coming to UTA from Texas Wesleyan where she earned All-Conference honors as a senior and junior. The incoming graduate transfer earned four top 3 finishes while playing in 11 tournaments in her senior year.
As a team, the Rams collected 13 wins throughout Arango Marin's time there.
"I'm very excited to add Salome to our team for next year," shared Matranga. "She brings a lot of experience both on and off the course to our program."
