Multiple Birdies Highlight Day One Of Jayhawk Invitational
Lawrence, Kan. – The UT Arlington women's golf team will look to finish strong in its fall opener after turning in rounds of 309 and 305 and sitting fourth overall from day one at the Jayhawk Invitational from The Jayhawk Club.
The Mavericks' performance was highlighted by a strong showing by Tarini Bhoga who currently sits tied for second overall with three over par while as a team the Mavs have 19 birdies which is the third best mark from day one.

Tarini Bhoga
- Bhoga started the fall season on fire, sinking six birdies through the first nine holes of round one while finishing the round with eight pars for a score of 71.
- Round two saw Bhoga finish with three birdies, nine pars and five bogeys to finish with 76 and currently sits second overall in the individual standings.
- Finished round one with a score of 77 after 14 pars, three bogeys and a double bogey.
- Managed to knock a stroke off her score after finishing round two with a score of 76, hitting two birdies, 10 pars and six bogeys.
- Finished round one with a score of 78 after three birdies and eight pars.
- Shot 79 in round two with a birdie and nine pars.
Salome Arango
- Arango shot 84 in round one with a birdie, 10 pars, two bogeys and five double bogeys.
- Knocked 10 strokes of her score to finish round two with a score of 74 with a birdie, 14 pars and three bogeys.
- Shot 83 in round one behind a birdie, five pars and 12 bogeys.
- Knocked her score down by three strokes through round two, finishing with a score of 80 behind a birdie, 11 pars, four bogeys and two double bogeys.

UTA will wrap up Jayhawk Invitational play with its final round on Monday, August 25, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start from The Jayhawk Club.
