Mavs Register Third Place Finish In Jayhawk Invitational
Lawrence, Kan. – The UT Arlington women's golf team capped off an exhilarating two-day Jayhawk Invitational as the five-player lineup registered a third place team finish from The Jayhawk Club.
Sophomore Tarini Bhoga paced UTA's lineup as she finished sixth place after turning in rounds of 71-76-75. The Frisco native turned in her best collegiate finish by three spots, finishing ninth back at Missouri State's Ozarks National Invitational a season ago.
As a team, the Mavs finished with the third most birdies of the tournament, knocking down 30 of them.

Tarini Bhoga
- Bhoga turned in a final round 75 as her round featured two birdies, 12 pars, three bogeys and a double bogey. She finished with the Mavs only top-10 individual finish.
- Gabel opened up the third round with a par and a birdie, finishing with a score of 75 behind three birdies, nine pars and six bogeys.
- Jumped up six spots to finish tied for 19th overall in the individual standings. Knocked in three birdies on the back nine to finish the round with a score of 73, her best round of the invitational. Finished round three with four birdies, nine pars and five bogeys.
Salome Arango
- Arango shot 77 in the third round behind a birdie, 11 pars and six bogeys which saw her finish tied for 27th overall.
- Browning shot up six spots in the individual standings to finish tied for 34th. She finished round three with her lowest score, 76, of the invitational behind a birdie, 12 pars and five bogeys.

The Mavs will return to action in a little under a month when they compete in the Red Raider Invitational from Tuesday, September 23, through Wednesday, September 24 from The Rawls Course hosted by Texas Tech.
