Transfer Guard Elisha Quinn Joins Lady Mavs
ARLINGTON, Texas – Elisha Quinn, an explosive 5-7 guard, will join the UT Arlington women's basketball program for the 2025-26 campaign.
The Toledo, Ohio native joins the Lady Mavs after spending the past two years at Shaw University.
During the 2024-25 season for the Bears, Quinn appeared in 22 games, starting in 14 of them and averaged 7.7 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals per game while averaging 24.8 minutes per contest. Her best scoring output of the season came against Livingstone (2/8) where she dropped 22 points on seven made field goals, five of them coming from behind the arc. Quinn recorded a season high six rebounds against Francis Marion (1/1). Her season best five assists came at Livingstone (1/18) while her season best four steals came a day later against Virginia-Lynchburg (1/19).
Quinn's first season at Shaw was during the 2023-24 season which saw her appear in 29 games, making 16 starts while averaging 5.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while averaging 21.1 minutes per contest. Quinn's best scoring output came at Claflin (2/3) where she dropped 14 points while dishing out a season high four assists. Her season high five rebounds came at home against Claflin (2/29) while her season high three steals came against Mid-Atlantic Christian (11/18).
Prior to her two years at Shaw, Quinn competed for Lakeland Community College where she was First Team All-District as well as the Team MVP after averaging 19.6 points per game for the Lakers. She dropped a collegiate high 42 points at St. Clair County Community College (11/13) where she shot an impressive 81-percent from the field. Along with her 40-point game, Quinn had one 30-point game and eight 20-point performances.
A 2019 graduate of Southview High School, Quinn joins an exciting group of newcomers on next year's team including: Mile Reynolds (Purdue), Amiyah Reynolds (Purdue), Kira Reynolds (South Bend Washington High School), Jadyn Atchison (ODU), Jeanne Rodriguez (Salt Lake Community College) and Erin Sellers (Menlo College).
