Crafty Guard Erin Sellers Joins Lady Mavs Basketball Program
ARLINGTON, Texas – Erin Sellers, a crafty 5-5 guard, will join the UT Arlington women's basketball program for the 2025-26 campaign.
The Oakland, California native joins the Lady Mavs after spending the previous two seasons at Menlo College.
During the 2024-25 season for the Oaks, Sellers appeared in 19 games and averaged 8.2 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 14.1 minutes per contest off the bench for the Monarchs. She registered a career-high 20 points while pulling down seven rebounds in 26 minutes of action against Azusa Pacific (12/5). Dished out a career-high five assists while collecting five steals at UC Santa Cruz (1/7). On the season, Sellers put up 156 total points while finishing the year with 26 rebounds, 25 assists, 21 steals and a block across her 19 appearances.
During her freshman campaign during the 2023-24 season, Sellers saw action in five games before she redshirted for the remainder of the season. In those five games, she totaled 19 points, six rebounds and five steals. Registered a season-high 15 points against Pacific Union (11/8). Was a part of the team that reached the NAIA Final 16 in Sioux City.
A 2023 graduate of Oakland Technical High School, where she scored over 1,200 career points in just three seasons. Sellers was named the Oakland Athletic League Player of the Year as a junior and senior where she averaged double figures in scoring as well as garnering the title of CIF Division III State Player of the Year. She helped lead Oakland Tech to three consecutive CIF State Titles.
Sellers joins an exciting group of newcomers on next year's team including: Mila Reynolds (Purdue), Amiyah Reynolds (Purdue) and Kira Reynolds (South Bend Washington High School), Jadyn Atchison (ODU) and Jeanne Rodriguez (Salt Lake CC).
