UTA Softball Adds Georgia Tech Transfer to Roster
ARLINGTON – UT Arlington softball and head coach Kara Dill have announced the addition of Georgia Tech transfer Madison Furniss to join the 2025-26 roster.
Madison Furniss | RHP | 5-8 | Georgia Tech | Southington, Connecticut
Furniss is a right-handed pitcher hailing from Southington, Connecticut where she spent one season with the Yellow Jackets. There, Furniss appeared in 12 games, making three starts with her first career appearance against Western Kentucky where she threw just over an inning to help Tech to a 3-2 victory.
The incoming sophomore held a 1-2 record in the circle last season with 16.1 innings of work. Furniss saw action against nationally ranked opponents No. 18 Stanford, No. 19 Mississippi State, No. 19 Clemson, and No. 22 Auburn.
Furniss attended Southington High School where she led her team to three Central Connecticut Conference championships. The northeastern native was named First Team All-State in 2023 while also earning offensive MVP honors. While in high school, Furniss was a member of the National Honor Society.
