Fall Opener On Tap For UTA Men’s Golf
Chandler, Ariz. – The UT Arlington men's golf team will begin its 2025-26 season in Arizona at the two-day Whirlwind Invitational beginning Monday, September 8 from The Whirlwind Golf Club hosted by USC.
This event will mark the first time the Mavericks have competed in the two-day event.
UTA will begin the year with the following five-player lineup based off season-opening qualifying:

INSIDE THE LINEUP
Arth Sinha
- Sinha makes his Mavs debut in the opening play of the fall campaign. The true freshman from Melbourne, Florida placed first in the AJGA Junior at Chechessee last month on August 4 with scores of 66-65-68.
- Morris makes his UTA debut in the first fall action of the season. The true freshman from Avondale, Arizona placed fourth overall back on July 20 at the Nemacolin Junior Championship with scores of 69-70-70.
- Huang returns to the Mavs for his sophomore season after a solid showing during his freshman campaign which saw him shoot a three-over 75 with three birdies with 10 pars at the El Macero Classic.
- Lyman makes his debut in the orange and blue in the Mavs first fall action of the season. The Surprise, Arizona native tied for 38th at the C.T. Pan Junior Championship back on July 21 with scores of 74-72-82.
- Broder makes his Mavs debut in the first fall action of the season. The Oregon transfer saw in action in one tournament for the Ducks last season.
NEXT UP
UTA will return to action in two weeks at the three-day Gene Miranda Air Force Flacon Invitational at the Eisenhower Blue Golf Course in Colorado Springs, Colorado beginning on Saturday, September 20, and wrapping up on Monday, September 22.
