MBB: Mavs Add Penn State Transfer F/C Miles Goodman
ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington men's basketball announced Tuesday that head coach KT Turner has signed Penn State transfer F/C Miles Goodman and added him to the team's roster.
Goodman, a Seattle native, joins the Mavericks following his freshman season at Penn State. He saw action in 13 games after missing first half of season with an injury and played an average of 6.1 minutes per game. In that playing time, Goodman averaged 1.2 points and 1.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 58.3 percent from the field.
Goodman was a four-star forward that was a top-100 recruit nationally and was Penn State's second-highest ranked recruit in program history, per 247 Sports. He was ranked as the No. 76 recruit nationally per Rivals and the No. 84 recruit in the country per 247 Sports. He also played for the highly-ranked Southern California Academy and was a 2023 Pangos All-American Camp participant. Goodman averaged 12.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game throughout the first three years of his high school and AAU careers.
Goodman joins high school signees Jordan Lowery, Jayden Smoot and Amari Reed as well as fellow transfers Marcus Rigsby, Jr. (Troy), Tyran Mason (North Texas), Stoney Hadnot (South Dakota State), Marcell McCreary (Northern Colorado), Bahsil Laster (Harcum College) and Cash Chavis (Arkansas) as new additions to the Mavs' roster ahead of the 2025-26 season. The new faces join forward Raysean Seamster and center Cameron Jackson, who return to the Mavs from the 2024-25 season.
