MBB: Mavs Add G Jayden Smoot
ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington men's basketball announced Friday that head coach KT Turner has signed G Jayden Smoot and added him to the team's roster.
Smoot, a Los Angeles native, joins the Mavericks following a standout career at Rancho Christian High School in Temecula, California, where he helped lead the Eagles to an 8-2 record in league play as a senior.
Smoot joins fellow high school signees Jordan Lowery and Amari Reed as well as transfers Marcus Rigsby, Jr. (Troy), Tyran Mason (North Texas), Stoney Hadnot (South Dakota State), Marcell McCreary (Northern Colorado), Bahsil Laster (Harcum College) and Cash Chavis (Arkansas) as new additions to the Mavs' roster ahead of the 2025-26 season. The new faces join forward Raysean Seamster and center Cameron Jackson, who return to the Mavs from the 2024-25 season.
