UTA Athletics Partners With Influencer for NIL Program, Makin’ Bucks
ARLINGTON, Texas – The University of Texas at Arlington, in partnership with Teamworks Influencer, has launched its Makin' Bucks Exchange program, further expanding its Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) program for UTA student-athletes.
UTA is extending this unique opportunity to businesses, donors and alumni who can apply to partner with UTA student-athletes, providing a chance to reach global audiences through a streamlined process on the Makin' Bucks Exchange.
"This is a huge step for us and we are very excited to enter this partnership with Influencer as part of our extensive NIL program here at UTA," Director of Athletics Jon Fagg said. "This is yet another aspect of putting our student-athletes at the forefront, and Makin' Bucks is another excellent tool that our student-athletes can draw upon during their time as Mavericks."
The Makin' Bucks Exchange is a custom-designed NIL business registry for businesses, donors, alumni and others interested in connecting with UTA student-athletes. Registered companies can search, filter, and initiate conversations with student-athletes to discuss NIL deals.
"We're excited to partner with the University of Texas at Arlington on the launch of their Makin' Bucks Exchange," said Teamworks Influencer Senior Account Executive Sean Kelly. "This platform empowers UTA student-athletes by connecting them with businesses and fans, creating new opportunities to monetize their personal brand and engage in NIL deals."
Once a deal is agreed upon, the business can utilize the Makin' Bucks Exchange to create a transaction that directly pays the student-athlete without any transaction fees and automates a disclosure to the Influencer Compliance Ledger.
The Influencer platform brings expertise in specific areas, while also working closely with UTA's internal team to provide student-athletes with resources in education, NIL marketplace exchange access, infrastructure, agreement disclosure, compliance, content sharing and personal branding.
