UTA and the College of Liberal Arts will host a Celebration of Life memorial for Allan Saxe from 6 to 8 p.m. July 11 at the University Center’s Rosebud Theatre.
Saxe, a retired political science professor known for inspiring outward thinking and a community benefactor who cemented his name into every corner of Arlington’s history, died June 17 at age 85, according to previous Shorthorn reporting.
The service is open to the public to celebrate the legacy of Saxe, according to a post shared by the College of Liberal Arts.
UTA officials and community leaders will speak at the event, followed by the opportunity for attendees to share their thoughts, said university spokesman Joe Carpenter in an email.
Attendees can RSVP and share their memories of Saxe for his widow, Ruthie Brock.
