The Inaugural Annual Juried UTA Student Exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art is on view from November 8, 2024- January 5, 2025.Juried by the Dallas Contemporary Associate Curator Emily Edwards, this exhibition features works by current graduate and undergraduate students and recent alumni.Featured works are by: Alia Almosawi, Christina Childress, Lisa Clavton, Chris Cravton, Paula Currie, Vy Dang, David Galvan Cruz, Xochitl Garcia, Shang Gou, Lucas Gustafson, Audrey Hatter, Evelyn Kennedy, America Luna, Yasmine Muhammad, Dorian Parkhurst, Michelle Perez, Evelia Sanchez, Phoenix Sanders, Emelie Stenhammar, Lauren Tallman, Emma Valenzuela, Phoenix Warren, and Grace Witkinson.The exhibition opening reception will be Thursday, Nov. 7, 6-8 p.m.

Do you like Space? Do you like Maps? How about maps of space?! UTA Special Collections is proud to present a new exhibition titled Cosmic Cartography . Featuring maps and charts dating from 1548 to 2024, the exhibit explores humanity's desire to explain our understanding of the universe through maps. In the exhibit, you will see maps that explore the model of the universe - from the ancients who believed in an Earth-centered system to Copernicus who put the Sun at the center, and beyond; maps of our Solar System and planetary bodies; and maps that explore Constellations and the Zodiac.Giveaways will be available while supplies last!The exhibit is located on the sixth floor of Central Library in Special Collections. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Join Erik Wolf of The Conafay Group (TCG) for a workshop that aims to provide insight about Department of Defense (DoD) medical research and development funding. The overall objective of this webinar is to give you tools that can help you be more competitive for research dollars and win grants from the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and other related entities. You will hear about how to engage the DoD, what kinds of research they are interested in, and how the system works and should come away with a realistic understanding of how to work toward these funding opportunities.About The Confay Group Through providing insight into agency interests and priorities, facilitating relationships with program managers and collaborators, and shaping research ideas, TCG helps support research from early-stage discovery work to large clinical and translational studies.
