Dance and public performance are two elements of human society that span across all cultures and peoples of the globe. This system of cultural expression often consists of detailed choreography and elaborate costumes, uniting our communities through shared connections and ritual presentation.For Latin America, dance is interwoven throughout the tapestry of their historical traditions. Beginning with the indigenous cultures of the Aztec, Inca, Maya, and Olmec, their celebratory carnivals and festivals evolved under the influence of European and African dance traditions to incorporate not only celebrational experiences but also used for expressions of faith, mourning, and even resistance.On view for the fall 2025 semester are a series of vibrantly painted and intricately decorated masks and dance costumes from Bolivia, Guatemala, and Mexico. They represent Latin America’s wide breadth of historical dance and parade traditions, ranging from the Bailé de los Animales to the annual Carnaval.Please join us throughout the semester to celebrate these works and their expressions of beauty, creativity, and connection through dance.It will be open Monday, September 8 – Thursday, November 20; 9am – 5pm. The Jazz and Commercial Voice Showcase at UT Arlington presents an evening of music that celebrates artistry, creativity, and growth. Our students will share the skills and experiences they have cultivated throughout the semester by performing across a wide range of musical genres. This showcase invites the audience to enjoy a night of diverse voices, unique interpretations, and the vibrant energy of rising artists.

The UT Arlington Fall Piano Contest is open to piano soloists grades 1-12, and piano concerto soloists grades 7-12, residing in and attending school in the state of Texas. Contestants will compete in divisions based on their current school grade and may compete in one or two categories: A. piano solo and/or B. piano concerto.Click here for more information.

This recital promises a delightful experience of beautiful melodies and impressive musical talent.This performance is free and open to the public.
